SOWRAG since its inception in 1998 had executed major projects to build a sustainable society. Some of the achievements relate to its vision and mission, are outlined below:

• Implemented a project on Community Voter Registration Awareness-raising Campaign in 2009, funded by OXFAM NOVIB.
• Implemented a project on Women’s Access to Justice and Young Generation Leadership in the Horn of Africa, funded by SIHA, 2010.
• Conducted two public debates on women’s access to justice, within a project called Fair Access to Justice in 2011 Funded by SIHA.
• Implemented a project on Enhancing Rural women’s Livelihood through empowering self-help groups and Cooperatives, in two rural sites of Salahlay district, south of Hargeisa, funded by Oxfam NOVIB through Nagaad in 2012.
• Translated into Somali a booklet entitled “Walking through a Forest of Thorns”, a publication on Violence against Women in the Horn published by the Strategic Initiatives for Women in the Horn of Africa (SIHA), 2012.
• Implemented a project on Reducing Gender-based Violence in Somaliland through Appropriate Policies and Strategies, funded by FORUM Syd, 2013 2014.
• Implemented a project on The Promotion of Self-Help Group Approach in Somaliland for poor women, funded by KNH (German Foundation) through NAFIS Network, 2013 -ongoing.
• Conducted a Voter Awareness raising in Sahil Region, funded by Kemonics, 2015.
• Implemented a project called Voices for Change focusing on influencing and advocating for the development of Fatwa against FGM, 2015.
• Implemented a project on Sustainable Livelihood in Somaliland for Enhancing and Strengthening the Livelihoods of Vulnerable Women Households in the AG-Pastoralist, funded by Progressio, 2016.
• Implemented a project called Contributing to Strengthening of efforts to reduce FGM through grassroots Intergenerational Dialogue and Research on youth views on FGM, funded by The Girl Generation, 2018.
• Awareness business women’s vendors street Road funded SIHA Network
• Corona Virus Prevention through Awareness Raising, Capacity Building to street vendors in Koodbuur and 26-June districts in Hargeisa, Somaliland.2020
• Community Awareness Raising Project on Voter Education in Morodijeh Region especially the IDP Areas 2021
